Northland to Taranaki, including Taumarunui
Isolated showers, but rain from Waikato to Taranaki tomorrow evening with possible thunderstorms developing.

Coromandel Peninsula, Bay of Plenty and Taupo
Cloudy periods. Isolated showers tomorrow.

Taihape, Whanganui and Manawatu
A few showers, clearing overnight. Cloud increasing tomorrow, with evening rain.

Horowhenua to Wellington
Mainly fine. A few showers north of Otaki, spreading elsewhere tomorrow morning, turning to rain in the evening.

Gisborne to Wairarapa
Mainly fine. Scattered rain for Wairarapa tomorrow evening.

Marlborough and Nelson
Fine at first. Showers tomorrow, with a period of rain late afternoon and evening, but remaining dry in eastern Marlborough.

Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Showers at first. Periods of heavy rain tomorrow, with possible thunderstorms and hail.

Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Fine at first. Scattered rain tomorrow morning, with thunderstorms and gales about the Canterbury High Country, then isolated showers, some heavy with hail and thunderstorms possible about coastal Southland.

Chatham Islands
A few showers.
