Overcast, grey, blustery day again here. Third such day in a row. A few brief light drizzle patches blowing through as well.

Bit warmer this morning, currently 14.1°C
Broken cloud but certainly not sunny.
We have been spared the rain so far with 8 straight dry days.

However this does not depict the sunshine levels which are low. Our days have mainly been under heavy cloud.

Here's a new graph I've developed for my (coming soon) future weather site.
Weather for the last 30 days. No wonder the ground is sodden!

Yes, 30 day rainfall total here is 184 mm - but the ground isn't that sodden, yet.
I estimate we're around 200 mm behind average YTD total, still....

Over the last 4.5 years, my highest daily windrun was 477km. But over the last 3 days, the windrun has exceeded 500km each day! It must be rare to get such consistently windy conditions here.

I've had a look through my data back to 2010, quite interesting - I did an approximate count and there are only around 30 days where we have had a windrun higher than 100 km.
Now, lets qualify things a bit, with our location and the level of shelter it has, normal 24 hr windrun is somewhere around 10 km to 20 km (and often below 10 km even) - to get a windrun of 50 km means it has been very windy, 100 km and above is exceptional.
So here's the windruns this week
6th; 3.9 km
7th; 58.9 km (system approaching)
8th; 186.7 km (just 0.2 km below previous record)
9th; 214.0 km (new record)
10th; 179.8 km
11th; 128.1 km (5 hours remaining)
So this is now the 4th day on the trot - and possibly another tomorrow too.
