Horowhenua to Wellington, also Gisborne to Wairarapa
Fine spells and a few showers today, some possibly heavy with hail. Early showers tomorrow, then mainly fine.

Nelson and inland Marlborough
Fine.

Coastal Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago
Scattered showers today, mainly near the coast, where some could be heavy with hail. Frosts inland early tomorrow, with showers spreading northwards again during the afternoon and evening.

Buller and Westland
Fine today and tomorrow morning. A period of rain tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Fiordland and Southland
Scattered showers, turning to rain for a time around the middle of tomorrow.

Chatham Islands
Occasional showers.
