Northland to Whanganui, also Coromandel, Bay of Plenty and the central high country
Mostly fine. However, the odd shower about eastern Northland tomorrow and Taranaki later in the day.

Gisborne, Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa
Remaining showers north of Wairoa clearing overnight. Fine tomorrow.

Manawatu to Wellington
Generally fine tonight. Partly cloudy tomorrow, with isolated showers, mainly about the Kapiti Coast.

Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and North Otago
Mainly fine, but increasing high cloud tomorrow.

Remainder of Otago and Southland
High cloud increasing tomorrow and scattered rain spreading north during the afternoon or evening.

Buller and Westland north of Hokitika
Fine tonight. Mostly cloudy tomorrow with a few showers.

Remainder of Westland and Fiordland
Showers developing overnight turning to rain tomorrow with heavy falls.

Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods, with a few light showers until early morning.
