Hi guys,
Put my station on the roof at the weekend. Had to cut down the pole as it was a bit too long and wobbled about too much. Anenometer and direction meter 1m above highest point of roof and I'm getting more stable results. Will defo need to make a Gill screen for the central unit as it gets bad sun strike. I think I'll lower my rain guage to the bottom mast horizontal mount so I can see the bubble better. I need a pair of tights or stockings to wrap round it too to keep the dreaded arachnids at bay.
Pretty windy today. Getting my highest ever wind readings. Good news is that the average line in Cumulus is flatter than when the station was in it's temporary position on the fence. The airflow is definitely smoother up high

Cheers
Dan
