Severe Weather Warning
for DAMAGING WIND
for Norfolk Island.

Weather Situation
Ex TC Ita lies well to the west/northwest of Norfolk Island, it is expected to
move steadily to the southeast today passing about 300 km to the west of the
Island around the middle of the day or early afternoon. As the low moves
further to the south, away from the Island, it is expected to deepen rapidly.
Damaging winds are likely on Norfolk Island this afternoon and evening with
average wind speeds about 65 km/h and peak wind gusts exceeding 90 km/h.
The Norfolk Island Police advise
KEEP CLEAR OF FALLEN POWERLINES, STAY INDOORS AWAY FROM WINDOWS AND KEEP
CHILDREN INDOORS.
