Looks like this could be the coldest night of the year so far for us in Waitakere, but probably not by much. It's 3.3°C now, matching the low recorded on May 30th - there will be frost in the valley below us this morning for certain, but nothing up here as usual.

-2.2°C in Reefton. definitely the coldest night of the year. warmed up slightly from -2.6°C at 4am. some wispy fog about, but only very thin - could be why it warmed up slightly.
first proper frost of the year.

Temperature dropped to 3.2°C briefly so is the lowest for this year at Waitakere, has plateaued around 3.4°C for the moment. While it was too dark to see easily at 6 am, definitely was a decent frost through the village and low lying paddocks we pass on the way in to Auckland - car outside temperature sensor was measuring 1°C

This would be the coldest day so far this winter, Dew point -4.2 current air temp -2.0. Although its cold here we can expect to see a clear sunny day with a high of around 10deg. Baro steady 1019.5

Coldest night of year...2.4 degrees for me but areas nearby hovering around 1 degree.

The coldest morning of the year here, by 0.1 degree

There is some crunchy frost in open areas of the lawn. Low temperature was 0.9°C

Partly cloudy, cold sou wester with highest gust last hour of 13kmh. Temperature 8.9% heading for a high of 10°. Big surf on the beach.

Tokoroa - 8:40am

Clear skies with a light frost. Min O/N low of -3.1ºC and at present temp is -1.1ºC with a light 0-7km/hr sou-sou-easter. Love;y clear skies with just a hint of fog in the narrow valleys. Sunny!
(A min was recorded at Matamata of -4.4ºC.)

Norfolk Island a great light show last night, thunder and lightning. Sounded like a war battle round the Island and we pulled the curtains and watched the sky for hours. another lot of thunderstorms and high winds forecast today

A heady 12.2°C in Waitakere, meaning it's just snuck past my forecast high of 12°C...

Positively balmy here. The temp got to 13.5°, well above the predicted high of 10°.
Sitting at 13.4° with a variable southerly up to 8kmh. Just a few clouds on the horizon.
