From Waikato to Wellington, including Bay of Plenty, Taupo, Taumarunui, Taihape, also Wairarapa
Mostly fine. Cloudy periods for Wairarapa, and from Taihape northwards.

Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Mostly cloudy, with a few light showers.

Marlborough, Nelson, Canterbury, Buller and Westland
Fine, apart from evening cloud in Buller and Westland.

Fiordland
Becoming cloudy this morning with drizzle developing, turning to rain in the evening.

Southland and Otago
Mainly fine, but cloudy periods south of Dunedin, and scattered showers developing in Southland and Clutha at night.
