SaturdayA burst of heavy rain for Bay of Plenty.A front preceded by a moist northerly flow is moving east across New Zealand tonight and tomorrow (Saturday) morning, bringing a burst of heavy rain to the upper North Island. The heaviest falls are expected in the ranges of eastern Bay of Plenty from tonight through to midday Saturday, where 75 to 100mm of rain may accumulate. People are advised that streams and rivers are likely to rise rapidly and surface flooding and slips are possible. Note, heavy rain in the ranges of Nelson has now eased, and the Warning there is lifted.
