Crystal Mountain WA – 14 ft of snow since March 1
« on: April 05, 2012, 08:29:42 AM »
It looks like we’ll be skiing into summer again!” says Crystal Mountain Webpage. “That’s 36 more inches than last time this season.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

March roared in like a lion, and out like one too!

From the Crystal Mountain Webpage

We’ve received 170″ (over 14 feet) of snow since March 1st! That’s 36 more inches (3 feet) than last time this season. Expect primary surface conditions to be machine groomed with variable skier packed snow and pockets of deep snow off piste with a nice light new layer of snow on top. We’re anticipating colder temps and continued snowfall through the night. PRACTICE DEEP SNOW SAFETY: Ski/ride with a visible partner!

March 2011 total = 134″
 March 2012 total = 170″

Season snowfall total last year at this time = 480″
Season snowfall total this season = 536″
 …

It looks like we’ll be skiing into summer again! Season passes go on sale tomorrow. Buy a 12/13 Gold or Bronze pass now and ski/ride the rest of April and all spring/summer for FREE!

Regular daily operations end April 15th. We plan to open for extended spring skiing operations Fri-Sun the last two weekends in April and weekends until the end of May (or later if conditions allow).
