Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington
Fine at first. Cloudy periods tomorrow, with a few light showers about Gisborne and northern Hawkes Bay.

Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and North Otago
Fine at first. Mostly cloudy tomorrow.

Central Otago, Dunedin, Clutha and Southland
Often cloudy, with rain or showers at times.

Buller and Westland
Mainly fine at first. Occasional rain or drizzle developing tomorrow.

Fiordland
Periods of rain.

Chatham Islands
A few showers, more frequent for a time tomorrow with southwest gales.
