Waikato, Taranaki, Bay of Plenty and the central high country
Scattered showers, clearing overnight then fine spells. However, isolated showers during the afternoon and evening.

Gisborne to Wairarapa coast
Cloudy with a few showers in the north, spreading to Wairarapa coast for a time today.

Wanganui to Wellington, also inland Wairarapa, Marlborough, Nelson and Buller
Areas of morning cloud clearing then fine spells. However, scattered afternoon and evening showers especially about the ranges, some heavy and possibly thundery about Marlborough, Nelson and Buller.

Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Mainly fine. However, the odd morning shower about Otago and Southland, and scattered showers inland during the afternoons and evenings, some heavy.

Westland and Fiordland
Cloudy. Showers developing during the day.
