Good example of localised weather today.
Enviro.BoP meter at the local wharf recorded 31mm rain in the hour to 9am. My rain bucket reporting 0.00!
Here at home (about 1 km away) it rained heavily from 9 till 9.30 then slackened off, dry from about 10am, so quite slow moving. Also had a few peels of thunder out east. I checked out the neighbours Nylex rain gauge at about 7pm, 28mm.
The rain seems to have been very localised around this area, only minimal falls elsewhere, and temps were extreme compared with closer regions this afternoon. Its been a hot & sticky afternoon, especially from 6pm to 8'ish, and very little breeze most of the day.
Varying between scattered cloud to mostly cloudy all day with decent banks over the ranges to the south & east.

I waited all day for wolfie's rain..... finally it arrived..... 0.9mm !!!!!!!

Now I wait for the rest.

Enjoying the drop in temp thats for sure.
