Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Mainly fine. A few spots of rain in Canterbury this evening.

Buller
Cloudy periods with drizzle at times.

Westland and Fiordland
Patchy drizzle, turning to rain this morning with heavy falls. Rain easing to a few light showers in Fiordland during the afternoon.

Otago and Southland
Scattered rain developing this morning, clearing in the evening.
