Mainly fine. Cloud increasing about the northern Taranaki, Taumarunui, Taupo and Bay of Plenty this evening with some drizzle.

Marlborough, Nelson and Buller
Cloud increasing, and drizzle developing about Buller this evening.

Westland and Fiordland
Drizzle in Fiordland spreading to Westland this morning and turning to rain from afternoon, with some heavy and possibly thundery falls south of Glaciers.

Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Areas of cloud clearing this morning and becoming mainly fine with high cloud. Rain developing about the Alps and a few spots spreading east this evening.

Chatham Islands
Mainly fine.
