A model. Possibly a docking station for a spaceship?

Ok the common factor must be Stars Wars. Is this right so far iomkiwi?

Come on Babs, scratch your head some more. I have no idea cept as stated there is a wee man in what looks like Armour. Is he in a lift?
Maybe the wee man is in the star wars stage set???
Weird looking set though  :-\

Question, is this somehow related to Dr Who?  A model of one of the sets?

Look at the tree bottom right, what is that all about.
Looks like it is in a pot and a miniature bonsai which is probably a big tree on the set.

Well, I have to say its a model of some sort, as no right-minded engineer would have a red cable connected to earth!

My first impression would be a model of a nuclear reactor.

Another would be a model of somehting hugely technical on a model railway set?

Common factor isn't Star Wars

tis not a model as such - rather a modification

The Borg planet

OK I am going for the oil refinery theory somewhere in this world perhaps one in the far east, apart from that I have run out of ideas.

Can we have some more clues please
