Thursday NightIn the west from Northland to Taranaki, cloudy periods, with a few showers, mainly about the west coast, clearing tomorrow morning and fine spells increasing.
A weak warm front is expected to move onto Fiordland this afternoon, followed by a cold front in the evening.
This should bring rain to Fiordland, with some heavier falls and possible thunderstorms tonight.
Tonight might see a few icy patches again but the airflow is tending more westerly so it might not take shape to the same degree.
