Canterbury
Mainly fine, but scattered showers near the divide. Isolated showers further east south of Christchurch this evening.

Otago, Southland
Scattered showers developing this morning, some heavy with thunderstorms and hail in the east this afternoon and evening.

Buller
Showers turning to rain this evening with thunderstorms possible.

Westland and Fiordland
Rain, with heavy falls and thunderstorms and hail, easing to showers late tonight.
