Coromandel Peninsula, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Central High Country
Fine, apart from areas of morning cloud and early and late drizzle about the eastern Bay of Plenty ranges.

Gisborne to Wairarapa, and in the west from Waitomo to Wellington
Mainly fine, but cloud increasing in western areas.

Buller to Fiordland
Cloudy. Rain in Fiordland spreading into Westland this morning, easing this evening and clearing in Fiordland.

Nelson and Marlborough
Fine with high cloud.

Canterbury
Cloudy periods with isolated afternoon showers inland.

Otago and Southland
A period of rain then fine for Southland. Isolated showers developing in Otago this morning, clearing inland this afternoon.

Chatham Islands
Fine spells.
