Setting up Latitude & Longitude in WD
« on: April 12, 2012, 10:51:37 AM »
Could someone please confirm I have this correct. Is this where the Lat and Long are set for the Station coordinates. Please forgive this Cumulus user's ignorance.

Control Panel
-Units and Settings
- Sun/Moon rise/set

Click on Update.
Click on OK

Screenshot attached.
If this is incorrect could someone please steer me in the right direction.
Thanks

Yes that is the right place to set them up and they look good for Gisborne or there abouts... at a guess.

So long as the small check boxes were used for below equator (South) for Latitude, and East of GMT for Longtitude at the time of entering and saving the numbers.  I'm pretty sure the Longtitude ends up as being a positive east.  Although in the clientraw.txt file, it shows them both as negative to give correct night/daytime reference.  I think for Longtitude, it depends on if you are a Flyer  or a boatie, they set them differently and we follow the aeronautical reasoning I think.  I may be totally wrong, but I know there are two different systems and they view things differently.

It is the right place to set it though :)
