OK, first of all, FULL MOON @ 1:28 PM (didn't celebrate it...
A dull day (weather wise):
Grey Skies (Overcast) all day.
UV Index: 1 (Just 1 Sun-Ray peaked through the clouds at 11:19AM..!!)
Temp: steady around + 3
Apparent Temp around 0 C
Hardly any wind
No Precipitation
The entire city is hanging on the lips of the Meteorologists to hear about 'what's coming'.......and they don't know (yet).
Since we're often in a S/W Wind pattern, Moist Air from the Gulf of Mexico travels over the US midwest (and intensifies) towards the Great Lakes. At the moment it all depends on the actual temperature in the next few days. Either it's going to be LOTS of Rain, or LOTS of SNOW (20 - 35 cm)........
We'll see.
Keep you informed.
Cheers,
Arthur

Gray skies turned to blue as I headed to Hawkes Bay today.
Sunny around Ahuriri but a bite in the wind.
The blue skies beat me back to Wairoa. Nice to have a clear sky after so many dark gray ones.
High in Wairoa today 22.0°C and Calm.

"LIVE UPDATE" Severe Weather Toronto Canada......
OK, maybe while you're sipping a sunset cocktail on the beach, you might think what's he yepping about.......
Well, there are certain weather models that simply can paralyze an entire (4 Million) city, and one is on its way...
Drought is a bad (long term) weather model, SNOW is short term and instantly. The city of Toronto has a CND $20M 'snow-removal' budget per season, and a storm like 2 weeks ago costs about $5M for clean up. (650 snow plows working around the clock...)
Attached is a picture from 30 mins ago (Monday Feb 25 11:30PM) broadcasted on Global Toronto Tv Weather Forecast... (The meteorologist finally made up his mind, and I think it's not something to laugh about (although he (Anthony Farnell) is a 'good' guy, always promptly answering my questions by email).
Just for fun:
Take a ruler, put it on the ground and see how high it reaches up your leg to 30 - 40 cm...That will all be SNOW...!!! (Plus the 5 cm still on the ground from the storm 2 weeks ago)
When people walk their Chihuahua dog outside, it simply disappears
Currently we're still in the "Calm before the Storm".
No Arctic Air, so relatively 'normal' temperatures conditions (+ 1 C)
Calm Wind
Overcast
Little haze
I'll keep you posted,
Cheers,
Arthur
