European cold could continue until end of February.
Britain and southern Europe will experience lower than average temperatures between March and May while northern Europe can expect warmer than usual weather, says this article from Reuters.

Looks like the gas prices have risen too.
LONDON (Reuters) - Spot gas prices rose to their highest levels since early 2006 on Monday morning as extreme cold continued to sweep across Britain and most parts of Europe.

LAst winter the gas was in short supply and my Uncle couldn't get any more than 3 deg out of the heaters. Wore their coats inside to try and keep warm.

The end of Feb. in the UK has been very warm, especially in the southeast.
Outlooks are not forecasts - just a statement of a balance of probabilities. We got stuck with the narrow end of a La Nina, unfortunately.
