Observation for 15th December 2012: Another glorious day today in the western bay of Plenty with hardly a cloud in the sky and wall to wall sun all day. The overnight SW breeze took it’s time to make the move to the daytime predominantly Easterly sea breeze today and was rather nice when it arrived as the neighbouring farmer has had a couple of truck loads of fresh Mussel shells delivered for spreading on the tracks and races, they pong a bit and we are down breeze from where they are stockpiled when the wind is coming from the SW.
