It might just be time to ditch the video store, with new service Quickflix offering a completely free week-long trial of their kiwi service. The service launched in March with over 650 films and hundreds of hours of BBC television content. Plus, they've been adding hundreds of new films and hours of television for streaming every month since then.
While the service is normally $9.99 per month, you can trial the service without obligation and at no cost for a week.
We've checked out how the trial works and it's quite easy to follow. You must put a credit card into the system as you register, but you won't be charged for use in the first week. So even if you don't enjoy it as much as we think you will, then you can cancel at anytime in that first seven days without charge.
Orcon and Slingshot are also currently zero-rating the service, so downloaded material won't have any impact upon users of those ISPs' connections; however, others should keep a tab on their datacaps to avoid any bill shocks.
Supported devices include Windows PCs and Apple Macs, as well as Sony’s range of internet-connected Bravia TVs, blu-ray players, and the PlayStation 3. More devices will be added in coming months, including TVs, Galaxy tablets and smartphones from Samsung, TVs from Panasonic, and iPhones and iPads from Apple.
