Tokoroa - 10:25

Overnight low of -0.1ºC but a steady 7km/hr ESE breeze negated the frost.
Currently 10.4ºC and rising.  Sunny day with a few light, thin fluffies.  SSE breeze of 0-7km/hr.
Should warm up to 13 or 14deg today, but cool in a breeze being southerly.

Cheers! I wrote a long post then wiped the lot by  hitting some keyboard combo...grrr

OK. I have a question. What is the difference between these maxima that we are reporting and the nearest standard weather stations?

I don't report my WS figures because of issues I have with the daily maximum it reports. (I am very mistrusting...if it is too different from the two nearby stations Met service uses then I am worried. I tried all sorts of shading/making sure maximum exposure to air movement etc...this is a known issue and I know people go to great lengths over it.

It does seem to me that we should do a comparison between our records and the nearby Met Service ones.

@ JL

I think in your 'blurb' you should make clear that these are the figures reported by members stations (E&OE)

Yes true I had not thought about stating where the data was coming from.
Ok how about that above that I added on the bottom.
Any other ideas please?

I guess I need to write more and make it clearer. Those figures above are taken from our member's web stations from mid night last night to mid day today.  They are the stations on our Map. So these figures are our own work and nothing to do with WW or MS which is pretty cool huh.

Its half a day's report mainly aiming at supplying the over night low temps so I should state that at the top I think.
It is also a very up to date list of current temps of which the high temp column should depict.

It is nothing to do with yesterday. These are not yesterday figures. These are todays figures. From midnight to mid day today.

Mainly I am playing with the beteljuice script learning what I can do and not do. Double checking against their sites etc. I got sick of playing by myself so I am playing in here...lol
Hope that makes it clearer and I will do better with the descriptions in future. Sorry to confuse.
