Description: This is the scale of the mountain waves this year in Paekakariki, they're massive. Some literally dive bomb directly into us as well, and we had for the first time ever, a wave of rain, rather than normal fall. Scary stuff.

| April 19, 2014, 09:48:54 PM It's a huge mountain wave coming from the East mountains, heading the the coast. They bring wind and cold with them as they drag the mountain top air down into us. Attrocious in Winter-Spring. When there is an upper trough opposite Canterbury, they actually dive bomb straight into us. |
