Q & A: Member Location Map
« on: March 30, 2018, 01:45:08 PM »
The Member Location Map allows forum members to pin their location whether they have a weather station or not. It uses Google Maps 3.0 API to generate the map and place 'Push" pins.

You can find a link to the Map on the top menu for easy access.
Adding your location onto the Map is done through your account profile.

Profile – Forum Profile
You can update your details while there as with your Gender and Country Flag. Your Gender will be used on the Map.
Scroll down to near the bottom under Karma. There you will find Member Map.

Full instructions are on the left of the Map.
The easiest way is to type your address into the search box and Click on the Map for it to take.
Dont forget to save your Profile bottom right – 'Change Profile'

Click on Member Map on the top menu to see how it looks. If incorrect you are able to return to your profile and alter.

Moving your mouse across the Location Pins will pop up the username of that member. Click on the Location Pin will pop up their User Information.

This map is highly configurable so any suggestions please post below.

Cheers
Jenny

Very nice to see where people are located.  Hope I haven't skewed the map too much!

Enjoy,
Paul

The beteljuice is a child of the universe - and the world is not enough !

.... plus the beteljuice no longer uploads weather (or any other) data.

the beteljuice will ponder upon a place in the scheme of things.  :P
Imagine what you will KNOW tomorrow

@beteljuice - this is not a weather station map. Only a location map of members.

It mainly adds your location on the map in your profile.
