Kew Gardens in West London is today's hotspot - beating 20.6C (68.5F) yesterday in Trawsgoed, West Wales
Tomorrow will be slightly cooler but still above average, before heavy showers are possible on Thursday
Friday will mark first day of meteorological spring and is expected to be mostly dry before wet weekend
Bob Ward, from the Grantham Research Institute, said warmer winters are a result of climate change trend

Britain braced for ‘BLOOD RAIN’ today as storms strike plunging temperatures by 11C
It’s the result of a huge hole that’s opened up in the Sun’s corona, with auroras set to cover swaths of the US such as Maine and Washington.
The power networks could be brought to their knees as a result.

The A548 has been closed with police warning that there are "huge problems" with flooding across Flintshire.
Firefighters, police and council officers have been called out to Flint, Greenfield and Bagillt today after heavy rain overnight and this morning has left streets impassable, including in Mancot and Sandycroft.
Police have blocked off the A548 in both directions due to flooding between Coast Road in Mostyn and Manor Industrial Estate in Bagillt.

Unusual 'rainbow' clouds spotted in the south east
Stunning rainbow - or iridescent - clouds were spotted in the skies above south eastern England on Monday.
Iridescent clouds are an optical phenomenon which happens when the sun's rays are scattered by very small water droplets or ice crystals in the cloud. The light is split into its various colours - a bit like a rainbow.
The clouds aren't rare, but for the most vivid displays you need a thin layer of cloud which contains lots of water droplets or ice crystals that are about the same size.

CENTRAL ENGLAND ON COURSE FOR IT’S 17TH COLDEST JUNE IN 360 YEARS OF RECORDS — C

https://electroverse.net/central-england-on-course-for-its-17th-coldest-june-in-360-years-of-records-crop-concerns-grand-solar-minimum/
It’s been a truly miserable run-up to summer for folks in the UK so far, with official data revealing England is currently on for it’s 17th coldest June in records dating back to 1659.
The Central England Temperature (CET) record measures the monthly mean surface air temperatures for the Midlands region of England, and is the longest series of monthly temperature observations in existence.
It’s current mean reading for June 2019 (provisional to the 14th) is 12.6C (54.7F) — that’s 1C below the historically cool 1961-1990 average, the current standard period of reference for climatological data used by the WMO.
In recent years, only the June’s of 1991, 1977 and 1971 ran colder. Before that, you have to back to 1923, 1916, 1908, 1906, 1860, 1823, 1821, 1749, 1745, 1725, 1705, 1698 and 1689 to find cooler months of June.
This month’s cold temperatures and reduced sunlight hours will have already hampered the growth of many open-field crops, which in turn will pile further pressure on already surging commodity markets following the inclement-weather-related planting issues in Australia, America, Africa and China.

The warnings are in place from the north coast of Scotland down to Land's End in Cornwall.
The Met Office said in a statement: “Spells of rain are expected to affect many areas at times from Sunday afternoon and into Monday, moving north/north-eastward and perhaps turning thundery at times in some places.
