The remainder of the North Island
Fine tonight. Cloud periods and isolated showers developing tomorrow morning.

Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Fine tonight, apart from showers about the fiords. A few showers spreading further north tomorrow, and turning to rain in Fiordland at night.

Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago excluding Clutha
Mainly fine. Areas of low cloud in some sheltered valleys, clearing tomorrow. Isolated showers about Dunedin tomorrow morning.

Clutha and Southland
Partly cloudy with a few showers, mainly about the coast, then becoming fine tomorrow morning.

Chatham Islands
Often cloudy, with showers.
