Showers, some heavy, and isolated thunderstorms, easing tomorrow. Becoming fine from tomorrow afternoon about Bay of Plenty and Taupo, and from Horowhenua to Wellington and Wairarapa.

Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
A few showers, mainly about the ranges, otherwise mostly fine.

Nelson
Fine, apart from showers about the western ranges.

Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Showers about Buller and Fiordland, spreading to Westland tomorrow afternoon.

Marlborough and Canterbury
Scattered showers, clearing early tomorrow morning and becoming fine.

Otago and Southland
Showers retreating to coastal Southland tonight, then returning to inland Southland for a time tomorrow afternoon.

Chatham Islands
Occasional showers, clearing later tomorrow.
