Whanganui and Taihape to Wellington
Cloudy periods tonight with patchy drizzle about Wellington. Rain at times tomorrow.

Nelson, and Marlborough away from the Kaikoura Coast
Scattered rain, with some heavy falls and possible thunderstorms tomorrow.

Kaikoura Coast, Canterbury Plains and Christchurch
Cloudy with occasional light rain or drizzle.

Canterbury High Country, Westland, also Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Fine tonight, apart from some areas of low cloud or fog. Cloudy at times tomorrow, with patchy rain north of Queenstown.

Chatham Islands
