Rain Watch – 25th March 2012
« on: March 25, 2012, 12:00:44 AM »
Report your rainfall throughout the Day here either in Millimeters or just the conditions. You do not need a Weather Station to do this.

Looking at the rain radar you would never think we had 10mm rain since midnight! On top of the 5mm from yesterday evening.

double that here, 20mm total
dues to orographic lifting on the coastal hills I would say
I did not even hear the rain during the night, so it must just been very thick drizzle, and low altitude at that, hence why the rain radar had trouble picking it up (the signal was going over the top)

A reasonable thunder storm in progress, unusual for this part of the country.
Just beginning to rain

We need up getting 15mm in just over an hour, plenty of hail.

I ended up getting water damage in the house due to guttering being blocked by hail
