Forecast in Brief for Monday 6th July 2015

Northland to Horowhenua, including Coromandel and the central high country
Cloudy periods and few showers, turning to more general rain at times south of Hamilton.

Bay of Plenty, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Mainly fine, but a few showers about Bay of Plenty.

Kapiti, Wellington, Wairarapa, Marlborough and Nelson
Fine, apart from a few showers this morning.

Canterbury and North Otago
Mainly fine, but showers about the Alps, and the odd one elsewhere.

Central Otago, Dunedin and Clutha
Showers and fine spells. Snow lowering to about 200 metres.

Buller, Westland, Fiordland and Southland
Showers, some heavy and thundery with hail. Snow to low levels about Fiordland and Southland, and about the main Alpine passes further north.

Chatham Islands
Showers developing this morning, clearing in the afternoon.
