Waikato to Wanganui, also Coromandel and the central high country
Fine spells and isolated showers. Showers becoming widespread from late morning, some possibly heavy, then clearing in the afternoon.

Manawatu, Kapiti
Fine.

Gisborne and Wairoa District
Mainly fine, but isolated afternoon showers.

Remainder of Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington
Mainly fine, but a few showers developing about coastal Wairarapa in the morning, and one or two possibly spreading into Wellington.

Marlborough, Canterbury
Fine, apart from showers and southwest gales about Banks Peninsula clearing in the evening.

Nelson, Buller and Westland
Mainly fine. However, morning showers in Buller, some possibly heavy.

Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Showers, mainly about Southland and southern Otago.
