The Bokkies won the toss & decided to bat & away they went.
First wicket down in the 3rd over,
de Kock caught behind for 1 (after a review), 12 for 1, great start !!
Unfortunately for the Shamrocks,
Amla &
du Plessis went on a bit of smack fest & added some 250 odd runs before
du Plessis was bowled by
K O'Brien for 109 in the 39th over. SA on 259 for 2,
Amla on 141 with 11 overs left.
Amla was out caught at long off for 159 in the 42nd over,
De Villiers went shortly after for 24, 301 for 4. Then
Miller &
Rossouw threw the willow, final tally - 411 for 4.
A big ask for the Paddys, that sort of total for a qualifying team, what pressure must they be feeling . .
And so it proved. They had lost 3 wickets for 21 by the 5th over. They lost 4 more by the 31st over, 7 down for 150. By this stage there was no hope & they were all out for 210 in the 45th over.
Balbirnie made 58, next best was
K O'Brien with 48.
A bit of a walk over for the Bokkies.

The UAE won the toss & chose to bowl. They managed to winkle out
Jamshed in the 4th over but it was pretty bleak from then on.
Shehzad made 93,
Sohail 70,
Maqsood 45, &
Misbah-ul-Haq 65, & with a flurry from a few more Pakistan made 339 for 6 down.
The UAE struggled early with a slow run rate, 15 without loss after 6 overs. They lost
Ali in the 7th,
Berenger in the 8th, &
Chandran in the 10th, 25 for 3 down. The middle order did ok, with
Khan making 43,
Anwar 62,
Patil 36, &
Javed 40 but they finished their 50 overs at 210 for 8 down.
So a comfortable win for Pakistan by 129 runs.

The Afghans won the toss & decided to bowl. And it probably didn't matter what they decide to do . . .
In the early overs, they did ok, keeping things under control, & they snared
Finch in the 3rd for 4 runs.
So Aussie 1 down for 14. Unfortunately for the UAE,
Warner &
Smith went a tad ballistic through the next 30 something overs.
Warner was finally caught for 178 in the 38th over,
Smith on 81, Aussie 274 for 2.
Smith finally went for 95 in the 43rd,
Maxwell was gone for 88 in the 48the, & Aussie made 417 for 6.
So what could Afghanistan muster up in reply ??
Well, it was a slow start, & they lost their first in the 7th over, 2nd in the 8th & 3rd in the 10th, 46 for 3 after 11.
They struggled on until being all out for 142 in the 38th over, top score was
Mangal with 33.
So a bit of a white wash by Aussie, a win by 275 runs.

Bangladesh won the toss & decided to bowl.
The Kilted ones had a slow start, losing their first wicket in the 3rd over, their second in the 10th,2 down for 39. They muddled through for a few overs but opener
Coetzer began to find his touch. They lost their 3rd in the 24th over,
Machan gone for 35, 116 for 3,
Coetzer not out on 48. Next out was
Mommsen for for 38 in the 43rd,
Coetzer not out on 148, Scotland 257 for 4.
Coetzer was out in the 45th for 156, a great knock, & they ended up 318 for 8 down at the close.
In reply, the Scots nicked out opener
Sarkar for 2, but struggled to make inroads.
Iqbal made 95 &
Mahmudullah 62. At 50 overs,
Al Hasan was 52 not out &
Rahman 42. They reached their target in the 49th over, 322 for 4 wickets.
So a comfortable win to Bangladesh by 6 wickets.
