Gees, do our
Black Caps know how to make a game interesting, or what ??
We should have managed this comfortably, but, but, but, . . . . .
Our man Brendon actually won a toss, his record isn't great in that department, and he decided to send the
Scots in.
Over No 2 & Trent Boult's first over, 2 wickets in 2 balls, both LBW, Trent getting the ball to swing.
Tim Southee then snared 2 wickets in 2 balls in over no 4, the Scots in trouble at 4down for 12 runs.
One would have been excused for thinking "this will be over before oranges".
However, the Kilted ones dug in, but were eventually all out for 142 in the 37th over.
Our boys obviously wanted to knock that off in a hurry, and they paid for it losing fairly regular wickets.
However, we got there in the end, 146 for 7 down, in the 25th over.
Interesting that the Scots manage 2 half centuries & we couldn't even muster one.

6th Match, Pool A: New Zealand v Scotland at Dunedin, Feb 17, 2015 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN CricinfoTable
Points Table | ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 | ESPN CricinfoOur points table: Most on 12 points, Martin & Smudge are on 9, & with a late entry from Hank13, he is on 3.
The good news is there are a heap of games left, so tons of time to make up ground
Now,
Phil, it is great to see you getting involved, though I suspect a certain 'trix type has been waving her cattle prod around!!
However, the game started at around 11:00 am & you decide to come in at around the time our boys started batting, ie the second innings!!
It's not quite as bad as Smudge's try the other day, but so sorry, I'm really struggling to find an excuse to accept your pick.
Cheers all
