Just thought I would post a quick note on the personal messaging system in this forum.

I have run another forum using this software for a few years so have noticed a small problem so have copied a post I made over there.

"Just a quick word on 'private messages' (or PM's).When you get the email notification of a PM - DO NOT REPLY TO THE EMAIL - you have to log in to the site and reply to the PM itself. If you reply to the email I am the one that will receive it - not the person that sent you the PM. This could be embarrassing if the PM is about me "

Of course in this forum the email won't come to me - but the point is that by replying to the email the reply will not go to the person that sent the original message

All those emails are coming to me at present - I try to forward them on if I can. However the best thing is that you don't reply to the automated emails

What I do on my forum is return it with the 'do not reply' text highlighted and a big smiley face

So the sender gets a reminder straight away, then it might stick in their mind
