Ok, we're at Game 5 already. Jees Louise, who's idea was this??? Oh yeah, silly me!!
We have the West Indies playing Ireland at the Saxton Oval in Nelson.
Rankings before the Cup got underway were Windies 8th & Ireland 12th.

Hard to pick this one, both teams have had mixed results in the warm up matches.
The Windies were thrashed by England & just got home against Scotland.
Ireland were thrashed by Scotland but beat Bangladesh relatively easily.

It could be the toss that decides this one.

Great stuff from the Shamrock Isle. They have snotted comfortably beaten  the Windies

This tournament has been waiting for that sort of shake up.

The Windies were not up to it!! And didn't Ireland do well.

Ireland one the toss & decided to bowl.
They had the Windies in trouble early on, having snared 5 wickets for 87 by over 24.
Then Simmons, Sammy & Russell scored at at a good clip to get them up to 304.
Simmons scored a century & Sammy 89.

The Irish batsmen scored consistently throughout & never really looked in doubt.
The backbone of their innings were Stirling 92, Joyce 84 & N O'Brien 79.
Tough that none of them went on to a century.

So, Rex & Valerie grab the points, & YES Suddenly, Valerie knows every thing!!
