In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa, and also Wellington
Mostly cloudy, with a few light showers.

Marlborough except the Kaikoura Coast, also Nelson, Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Mainly fine. However, cloudy periods and isolated showers about northwest Nelson and Buller.

Canterbury and the Kaikoura Coast
Mostly cloudy. A few light showers near the coast.

Otago and Southland
Fine apart from areas of cloud, mainly near the coast.
