England won the toss & put the Aussies in to bat. What were they thinking??
6 of the top 8 Aussie batsmen scored at a fast clip, Finch amassing a century, & half centuries for Bailey & Maxwell
An interesting end to the Aussie innings, a hat trick by Englands Steve Finn with the final 3 balls. He ended with a five wicket haul.
So, 342 for 9, a scoring rate of 6.84 per over & a big ask for England.
England were always under the pump in their innings, not able to score at the required rate, or build partnerships.
Mitchell Marsh took care of most of the upper & middle order & ended with five wickets.
At one stage he had the figures of 7 overs 5 wickets for 18 runs.

Smudge, it is wonderful to see you having a go, but . . . .
this game was played yesterday and you dropped in your pick a tad before 7am this morning.
As much as I want to accept it, I am really struggling to find a plausible
reason excuse.
It really is pushing your luck, you know . . .
However, there is an outside chance the TV Umps upstairs may call for a review . . . . . they are a funny lot, you never know.
