Occasional showers north of Hokitika, some heavy, becoming widespread this morning. Hail possible in Westland this evening.

Fiordland, Southland and Otago
Showers about Fiordland and coastal Southland spreading elsewhere this morning, some heavy with hail, and possible thunderstorms in the south. Snow lowering to 500 metres this evening but becoming fine about North and Central Otago.
