Looking at this Rupert is would appear that only receiving one quake so far that it would have to come from outside Dunedin to do any damage - from the sounds or the trench or main fault line etc.
Down Otago way there are number of fault lines that are not on here and have not erupted for hundreds/thousands of years so you just never know in this county, We did not know that we had built so close to a fault line until Sept 4th 2010 and that one had not erupted for 16,000 years.
