Nope, try again.

I am more looking for what it is part of not so much what you see.

Ok Val you have the idea.

Not the sky tower though.

My brother took me up there many years ago. The security guard took me down and escorted me outside.
Why you may ask, because I would not get out of the elevator. I totally froze. Twas a bit high for me :)

Looks like the top of a cell site antenna. Or a broadcast vhf.omni directional antenna.

Ok so Val heads us in the right direction with her guess.

Yes Intrepid, part of what you can see is a broadcast antennae.

So what is the larger picture. What is it part of ?

We all know it. We all know where it is.

Correct iomkiwi, I certainly did not take this one :)

It looks like the Eiffel Tower. My wife and I went there once, Mrs was terrified, would not take her back off the wall in the core. Sounds like you and her are kindred spirits jennyLeez

and yes you are correct on both accounts :)

Pass this onto your wife, she will understand and smile. The last two summers I had slowly painted my way around our house. At the beginning of this year when I had finished, I had to get commercial painters in to go all the way around the top of the walls and under the eaves as I could only paint up as far as the 3rd run of the ladder would allow.
Extremely frustrating to say the least and whats more it cost  me money I should not have had to spend :)

and here she is in all her glory plus a bit of info :)

The tower built in 1889 is 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building. During its construction, the Eiffel Tower surpassed the Washington Monument to assume the title of the tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years, until the Chrysler Building in New York City was built in 1930. Because of the addition of the antenna atop the Eiffel Tower in 1957, it is now taller than the Chrysler Building by 5.2 metres (17 ft). Not including broadcast antennae, it is the second-tallest structure in France, after the Millau Viaduct.

I thought it might have been this "tower"

As it did look a bit similar and there was an internal stair to the lookout...

not been there myself but... down on Wellington waterfront.
