New Plymouth: lovely and clear, calm.
It is now just above zero degrees, 0.2*C, which is the coldest temperature that I have seen in the ten years I have been here.
Bananas won't like it much.

Cold start to the day in Wairoa but at least the sun is out.
The Over Night Temp Low was 3.6 °C
Rainfall of 0.3 mm since midnight.
Rainfall last 24 hours 5.4 mm
Currently 7.4°C with zero UV.

Big frost. No wind and the sun came out. A very lovely day. Never saw the temperature. It felt like 14 degrees!!!!!!

Cracking few days in Reefton.
Cold clear mornings and warm(ish) days.
Daily temp ranges have looked like this for the last week:
16th 15.0°C
17th 13.7°C
18th 7.4°C
19th 16.5°C
20th 17.6°C
21st 15.5°C
22nd 18.7°C
Ignore the 18th as we only got to 3.5°C that day, the others have been stunning midwinter days.
Looks like we might get a few more days like this too.

Howick got down to 1.4C overnight, with some frosty patches this morning. Lovely day - sunny with few small clouds drifting through.
Very fast temperature increase this morning - almost a 10 degree rise in 2 hours:
