Dark Cloud, White Light
« on: February 18, 2014, 11:43:41 PM »

If you are in Auckland this month you would enjoy this photography by Joseph Michael
Entry is FREE
exhibition Dark Cloud / White Light is on show at Silo Park, AUCKLAND 1 - 26 FEB 2014

Dark Cloud / White Light is the title of Joseph Michael  current Media Arts exhibition.
This is a teaser of some of the landscapes featured in the exhibition.
He braved the elements to film for periods of 24hrs or more to create an experience of audio and visual splendor, revealing the hidden wonders of the New Zealand landscape. An epic visual story of space and time, told in three-dimensional, time-lapse cinematography.

The Music is "La Boîte à Musique" from the album "Stories From Elsewhere" (LOOP Recordings) Rhian Sheehan - rhiansheehan.com
All filmed on the amazing Nikon D800.
Each day sequence consists of 10,000 - 15,000 still images. Each image is recorded at 7K resolution (= 400 - 700 Gigabytes of data per day)
Thanks to all the individuals who have helped out on the project so far and to Nikon, LG, Macpac, Kea Campers, Nixon, Calex, the Biz Dojo and Park Road Post Production. Your support has helped make this project happen!
