The shape implies that its meant to have three 'arms'.

Is it a protective/warming device for a piece of electronic equipment?

We are cracking up over here :)

Lets see what the others think first before I give any more clues.

Ross, you are on the right path with one of your guesses.

We came up with some very norti suggestions but for the sake of our forum users gentle minds decided not to post them, if we had one or two of you would have fallen off your chairs! For we can be quite bad in Kelson.

Couldn't we have just one teeny weeny miniscule minute tiny clue pwease!

Its the upper body of a manniqen?

The padding implies that its meant to protect something...or act as a 'body' of some sort.

It also looks as though it doesn't have a zip...so it either has bits being put together inside the thing, through the holes.

And its padded for some reason but it loks as though yh top of it has more padding than the bottom.

And it looks as though there's a crimp near the neck of the thing.

Hmmmm...

1) Upper
2) Protect yes but also make comfortable.
3) No to all of 3.
4) Top
5) Neck
6) hmmmmm

Ok, you put it on. Well you and I would not and neither would Bab's mice.
But its not worn as such, but you do put it on.
Now take the clues from above and work out where you would put it and what for.

Note for Babs - Keep your thoughts pure please....lol
