November/December Photo Competition 2013

Just a reminder to upload your photos to the December 2013 Photo Competition on time please.
You have until midnight of the 4th of the following month for all competitions so thats around 34 - 35 days to have your entries in on time.

November and December will be run conjointly to complete the Year 2013's Competition.

Just checking, we are allowed to upload 5 photos per month...?

But in this last voting, we only have the one month's worth of points to get?

Hi Intrepid,

Yes you are allowed 5 photos per month.
These need to be uploaded before midnight the 4th of the following month.
It was set like this at the beginning of 2011 so I was clear of the end of the months work.
Photos also must be taken within that month. I move out photos that are not and let the owner know.

When there are not enough photos uploaded on time I hold over into the next month and run 2 months together. There are 3 - 4 competitions during 2013 in which I did this.
Reason for this is mainly because setting up the voting, results etc is fairly time consuming as a lot is done using code. Especially to get the wee photos linking to the larger photos and as you know I muck this up regularly
So yes a lot of work and not worth it for a few photos and hence amalgamating.

As far as points go. Each competition is awarded points. Not each month.
