Ok more hints are needed.
It can be used on a PC or Laptop.
It is wireless but you would manually have to operate it.
It maybe used on your desk or or in the air.

Is it a miniature recorder as in a microphone with built in data logger?

Ok think more simple.

Something every PC has but not necessary for a laptop.

I will add answer later today.

Is it one of those miniature PC kits, containing a motherboard, CPU and RAM?

Think simple.
A PC must have this to work it.

Simple.

Those are the keys words.

Get off that smartphone. Go sit at your PC and look down.
What can you see  :D

Vacuum cleaner??
What normal person has a vacuum cleaner on their PC disk...lol

and YES!!!!

Mouse it is and a very cool mouse at that. Here is the info on it:

This weird little piece of geometry is indeed a mouse. But more than just a wireless, surface-dwelling input device, the Logitech Cube is also a presentation aid that can be used to go back and forth between slides when you pick it up in the air. And if you stroke the top in mouse mode, it's touch-sensitive skin will scroll through whatever you want it to.

A mouse? You are kidding right?

You have had a bit too much of the rum pudding, me thinks!

It's not even ergonomic!

But since I guessed it, I won't complain any further! Good one!
