A much calmer week is forecast for this week after last week’s storm. Showers for the east and north of the NI Tuesday and Wednesday. Northerlies across much of NZ Thursday. Rain across the SI Thursday and the NI Friday.

Fine sunny cloudless morning. Temperature 10.9 after a low of 3.9° and heading for a high of around 13°. Wind mainly from WSW at 3-5kmh with the strongest gust in the last hour at 14kmh. No overnight rain.

The SSW wind has a real bite to it, if you are protected from the wind it is rather pleasent in the sun

Mostly Cloudy today but by degrees from heavy and threatening but no rain to thin and high with no Sun. Some patches of Blue Sky from time to time and a few short sunny periods, somehow the Maximum Temp managed to get to its maximum before Midday. Outdoor Relative Humidity was stuck on 99% until 08:00 but then dropped quite quickly to 70%, paused then dropped again to todays Low of 45% and is now all the way back up to 91%. Yet another Midday Wind Mountain today but really only a hillock at 21 km/hr but it stayed up there for pretty much 4 hours with a wee bit of a dip in the middle. Wind direction was variable, pretty much all over the place until around 09:00 then stabilised in a NW to NE arc until around 18:00 before making a b line to the South West Via east and South, currently a 1 - 5 km/hr ENE. Today's pressure at first saw a dip, then a minor recovery followed by a pretty good 4 hour slide then a plateau at around 1015.9 hPa for the last 6 or so hours.

Starting to fine up after extensive cloud. Rain clouds out to sea, but the sun is shining. 1.4mm of rain fell overnight.
Temperature 7.8° after a low of 6.2°. Maximum not expected to exceed 9°, so it'll be a chilly day.
Wind from the SW Max gust in the last hour 20.9kmh.
