Forecast - Thursday 05.09.2013
« on: September 05, 2013, 12:50:23 PM »
Southerly gales over central New Zealand are gradually easing today, and the Warnings for Wellington, Kapiti and Marlborough are lifted. However, a Warning remains in force for Taranaki for the time being. The Watch for Wanganui and the South Wairarapa coast is also lifted.

Snow showers are still expected about the central North Island high country, above about 800 metres. About Mt Taranaki and in Taihape, accumulations are not expected to be significant and the Watch is lifted. However, the Watch for the ranges of Hawkes Bay will be maintained as there is the possibility of snow approaching warning criteria above about 800 metres, and may affect high level roads. Snow should ease during the afternoon about the Hawkes Bay ranges.
